Keeping your caravan or motorhome toilet fresh and clean is so easy with the modern range of toilet chemicals now available. It is important to choose the correct toilet chemical for your needs and we carry a large selection here at A & L Leisure. Choose your toilet chemicals carefully as they function by different methods. Some kill bacteria, others make use of a biological action to break down waste material and most mask any smell with perfume. Many combine a bit of each. Some sites may request you use only environmentally friendly chemicals. Others, such as Club sites, are able to accept any fluids in their Chemical Disposal Point.
The principal toilet chemical goes into the toilet waste tank. These chemicals come in various forms. The traditional type is often a fluid which, needs to be diluted in water. There are some chemicals in tablet form which, are normally more expensive.
If you use a flushing toilet that is installed in the washrooms of caravans and motorhomes, you might also want to add a chemical to your water in the flush-water tank. This can be sometimes referred to as the ‘pink’ chemical.
Most toilet fluids have a tendency to lose their effectiveness after about three days so it's advisable to either empty your loo or top up with fresh fluid regularly.
